Air
safety tops agenda after crash
July 2002
Eurocontrol will be picking over the details of
the cause of the crash, which killed all 71 people aboard two aircraft, to see
what measures can be taken to avoid future incidents, said the agency’s Director-general
Victor Aguado.
“Everything we can possibly do to improve
safety will be done,” Aguado added.
Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for Eurocontrol
declined to give details of the proposals on the table at Friday’s closed
meeting in Brussels.
